International School

I live in a neighbourhood where it is quite common for students to have their own personal drivers to send them to schools and then after the various enrichment classes their parents fancy. Violin? Piano? Ballet Academy? Kumons.. you name it. In fact for some of my own students, I often have to pass notes to their drivers when I need to communicate with their parents, when sms-es are sometimes forgotten due to their busy schedules.

However, reading this entry by Is our old time friend whom we affectionately nicknamed the John Wood of Malaysia, is very heart-wrenching. Very heart-wrenching indeed. I give tuition to kids going to international schools here. But indeed this school he wrote about is way more ‘international’. Read about it here.
