Alang-alang menyeluk pekasam
…biar sampai ke pangkal lengan. Alang-alang dah boleh upload gambar, biar upload sampai dah sendat.

Mee Kolok. One of the signature dishes of Miri. Strangely looking like the Indonesian’s Bakmi and the Chinese Mee Pok. But this one is with roast chicken slices on top and red chilli sauce.

Rokok Gulung. With a thin line of daun tembakau inside. If they have been any shorter, they would remind me of Pak Malau, of the film Sri Mersing fame.

Sireh always reminds me of Mak Dara with her famous speech in the film Ibu Mertua Ku …‘ Sabariah… kau nak kawin Sabariahhh? Dengan siapa? Hah Kassim Selamat?! Siapa Kassim Selamat ??? Doctor? Lawyer ? Magistrate ???’ ” Hah?! Siapa? AHLIL MUZIK ???’
Miri-ans seem to love Sireh. Saw lots of them sold around and all over.

Old Chinese shops from the 50s. I was told they never changed anything from the late 40s-early 50s.

Perisai. The shield for the dayaks.
